I have herniated disks on my lower back.
I work more than 10 hours at a desk a day, the pain gets really bad sometimes.
I've read rave reviews about this chair, so I thought I would give it a try even though the price tag is so hefty.
And my conclusion is, it doesn't work for people who have serious back problems already.
Perhaps it will for people who don't have serious problem yet but work long hours sitting at a desk to prevent serious problem.
The thing is, there's no lumber support on this chair. It's a mesh chair, I should have known better, but every review says "This chair fits your back so perfectly!", so I didn't even try it out somewhere before I ordered it.
I'm sure this chair is great for other people but if you have serious back problem, I don't think it will help much, and I strongly recommend to try sitting on it somewhere before ordering it online.
The adjustable armrests were really comfortable, though.
And an orange one, which I ordered, is so cute, really nice just to look at it.
But it didn't help my back.

...all I can say is that my buying this chair was an excellent move.

I can summarise this review as follows: I spend hours upon hours at my desk (programming, surfing, goofing off, what have you) and I **never** feel "the need to get up and stretch" nor a hint of muscle fatigue from sitting for extended periods of time. This chair is surreal --- at first I was sure that the chair was "comfortable enough" (... but perhaps not worth the price?). However, its value is revealed over extended hours of use: the fact that I can sit and work without feeling "antsy" or any need to shift around is great. This chair supports (and yields) in all the right places.

If your day consists of working at your desk for many hours, then this chair is a worthwhile personal investment (like, for example, a quality mattress). It's a one-time purchase one should consider seriously. You must try it in person (visit a local merchant to try it); however, an in-store experience cannot convey the long-term value of this product. I took a "leap of faith" and picked it up (based on reviews of the chair detailing its value over extended use). I am here to recommend taking a similar leap.

Let me begin by saying I really wanted to like this chair. I think it looks amazing!

But if you have a back that is 'Flat' this chair will give you an intolerable pain in the lower back. As an another reviewer said, it feels like an elbow is trying to dig a hole in your back. The problem is that the lumbar support is not adjustable, you can only adjust the degree of inclination of the whole back panel. And as it is, the lumbar support is way to firm for my back. If you have a flat back, a 'Posterior Pelvic Tilt', this chair will be hell. Fix your back curvature with exercises or seek another chair!

I have returned this chair and bought the Herman Miller Mirra Chair. Even though the Mirra's back also feels a bit to curvy, its still the best chair I've ever had. I can sit in it 6+ hours a day without much discomfort. And, meanwhile, im doing exercises to fix my back curvature...
